Love and Home

The other day I came across a wonderful, very old Bible story book. I will try to share it with you soon because there are some great illustrations in it. Tucked inside the book was this little piece.

Love and Home
Within the home that you shall found
May Peace and Sweet Content abound;
May Gladness there make its abode
And Joy make light the daily load
And ne'er may Harmony be marred
As evenings come or days begin
And may Love's Sheltering Angel guard
Your going out and coming in.
J.B. Downie
Such sweet words, aren't they? And the roses? Can they get any more beautiful? They are from my friend Molly's yard. She cut them for me after our walk on Monday. I love them!
{"Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing." I Peter 3:8-9}

Very pretty picture on the little poem! The roses are pretty, and is that a vase they are in? It has a "fleur" on it? Lovely!

Don't forget to email me with your address...I'll send you a free blank-brown-paperbag-scrapbook!

Just checking back to see your roses! They are gorgeous - I love the yellow/pink combination. I have missed the yellow ones around here - guess they go first! Now I'm really fired up to get some yellow after seeing yours! Vickie
