Are you ready? Here goes....
5 Minute Chocolate Mug Cake
4 T. flour (not self-rising)
4 T. sugar
2 T. baking cocoa (I use dark - dutch processed)
1 egg
3 T. milk
3 T. oil
3 T. chocolate chips (optional) (Are chocolate chips really ever optional?)
A small splash of vanilla
Add dry ingredients to your favorite mug and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Add the milk and oil and mix again. Add the chocolate chips and vanilla and stir once more. Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. Please note: the cake will rise over the top of the mug but don't be alarmed! (Actually, mine didn't because my favorite mug is oversized.)
Allow to cool just a bit. Just enough time to grab your other favorite mug and pour a cup of coffee. Get a spoon and dig in! Enjoy!
Why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now you are just 5 minutes away from chocolate cake any time of the day or the night!
I have just one more thing to say. Shame on my friends who emailed me this recipe.

This may actually cause me some real problems. Can't wait to try it.
Yum! Dangerous indeed.
I am off to my pantry and microwave...CHOCOLATE is my favorite:) Thanks for sharing!!!! I can hardly wait.
I found your blog via Cottage Industry....and I love it! My daughter and I made these MUG cakes on Saturday night...and it was lots of fun, and quite tasty.
We discussed how fun it would be to have a group of girls over to make these, so they will be in our future again! Thanks for sharing!
Is it wonderful?
Ok, so you can tell who the "non baker" is right??? (that would be "moi"...hehe)
you showed to use so many "T" on the recipe, and I have to ask....is that tablespoon or teaspoon?? I'm soooo sorry....but I don't cook!!! if you tell me, I promise I will try this and let you know how it turned out!!
Thanks!
OH MY GOSH>>>> this sounds AWESOME!

I must try this! I came to your blog via Heidi. So glad I did.
So thankful I found your blog today ~ you helped another victim of a chocolate attack! Simple, fun, quick and easy for last minute (or late evening) dessert. My daughter loved it as well and cannot wait to make it again. Thank you for sharing! :-)
Yeah, so it's about quarter after ten at night, and I'm about to make this. Shame on your friends for e-mailing this to you? Shame on you for posting it! :-)
Oh, chocolate...
This cake is amazing. I am quite a baker and most microwave treats are bad, but this is AMAZING!!! Almost as good as a real cake! I (btw) did it in a bowl instead because all of my mugs were tiny and it turned out just fine!
OH NO! I know I am going to have to try this one.
