Blessings

I hope you all had a chance to count your blessings yesterday. Actually, I hope you do that every day. It is so easy to get caught up in the busyness of life and we forget to appreciate all that we have been given. God's blessings are abundant!
This is a journal I made the other day. I love the bird notecards I picked up a while back. So pretty.
This is the inside front cover with a flashcard pocket....
...and this is the back cover with a page from an old diary.

I decided to change the look of my blog. I haven't decided if I am satisfied with it yet. As you can tell, I really don't know how to create a blog header. I just take a picture and try to make it fit. I guess it will have to work for now.

I'm thinking of doing a little give-away for my 50th post. Here's the problem - I really don't know that very many people actually read this blog. If you do, I don't know who you are. So, do me a favor please. Leave me a comment on this post and tell me about your interests (crafting, thrifting, reading....whatever your hobbies may be). That will help me decide what to actually give away. Then check back in a few days for my 50th post and an annoucement of what the give-away will be.

I should have started my Christmas decorating today, but just didn't get to it. Maybe tomorrow.

Vanessa, my interest is scarpbooking, thrifty finds at stores and garage sales & decorating. Love your new look. I try to get online to see what's new with your blog at least 3 - 4 times a week. Also love your fave blogs too.

Let's see...I don't craft, scrapbook, decorate in any way, or make cards. My only interest here is YOU! I love the way your eyes light up with each new auction/garage sale/thrift store find and I especially like the way your compassion shows as you create things for others.

I'm a frequent lurker on your blog - I love seeing all your garage sale/thrift store finds that you share. I really wish that I was more crafty, but, I enjoy scrapbooking/papercrafts, thrift shopping, and decorating. One of my goals for the new year is to learn to knit.

Vaness I love all your finds of old things and love to see what you do with them. I am not very crafty.

Good Morning Vanessa! I went through Eastern Colorado into Kansas...whoaaa there isn't anything out there. I never knew there was parts of Colorado like that. I LOVE your journal...you did a great job on it. I have that same red paper you used on it (got mine in a set of papers from TArget). I have been using those same papers for some of my Christmas projects. Your booth is adorable and so glad you sold the brites so fast. They are fun...trying to decide how to display mine. Thanks for visiting girl. Take your time decorating for Christmas....that's my motto this year...slow the heck down. xoxo, cherry
