HOPE

I just finished this collage a few minutes ago. It's for my sweet girl (who has bronchitis right now, poor thing). I think I will hang it in her room. I thought about selling it at a Rett Syndrome fundraiser, but I'm not sure anyone else would want it with the picture of my daughter's hands. Besides, I'm not sure I could give it up. If you want to know more about Rett Syndrome you can go here or here.

I've been using the phrase "Holding hope in her hands..." a lot lately. A classic symptom of Rett is wringing or clasping hands. Sweet girl's hands are always together and I like to think they are that way because she is holding "hope" and doesn't want to let it go. We are hoping for a cure someday so her hands can finally "let go." I also included Isaiah 40:31 "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Her little legs are getting stronger and we believe some day she will walk!

Well, I guess that is all for now. I'll show you another fun project next time. I hope you all have a blessed Sunday!

This is just darling! Know you will want to keep it for her. Our prayers are for her legs to continue to get stronger and her body to be healed. We love you!

Vanessa,

Thanks so much for including me in your list of blogs you visit. And what a touching tribute to your daughter in this layout--it's lovely. You have a true mommy's heart for your sweet little one. Sending thoughts and prayers your way.
